Compass Box No Name, No. 3 is the third and final installment in a limited-edition trilogy of heavily peated blended malt Scotch whiskies from the independent blender Compass Box. Released in July 2021, it is designed to be the “rock opera” of the series—colorful, exuberant, and intensely smoky.
The Blend
- Laphroaig (74.7%): Aged in re-charred hogsheads; provides the core medicinal and maritime peat.
- Bowmore (11.3%): Aged in refill Bourbon barrels; adds tropical fruitiness and waxy texture.
- Mortlach (7.5%): Aged in re-charred barrels; provides weight and complexity.
- Clynelish (6%): Aged in refill Sherry butts; contributes a subtle fruitiness.
