Clean Slate gets its name from the thin, slate stones that compose the soil of the Mosel Valley. These stones retain the suns warmth, which helps achieve ideal ripeness in a cool climate. The resulting wine has a clean, mineral driven profile.
The Riesling grapes originate from selected vineyards throughout the Mosel region. The Lower Mosel provides minerality; the Middle Mosel creates a hint of spiciness; and the Upper Mosel contributes the characteristic ripe peach flavors.
Clean Slate Riesling is crafted by winemaker Dominik Meyer, who uses stainless steel tanks to preserve the unique flavor expression of the Mosel region.
