After spending the afternoon with winemaker, Gus Altschwager, we found out why these wines are so good. Gus was the original winemaker at Oyster Bay and he set out to make a selection of wines and tell the story of both Australia and New Zealand.
This is a partnership between 3 wine making families, Ellis, Altschwager and Kenneally, to show the cooler sub-regions of South Australia. Mount Gammbier is the southern most region in the state and is the coldest, making it perfect for making Coola climate wine styles.
This Chardonnay is made in an elegant textual style, lifted peach aromas with a creamy finish.
