Fuyu means “winter” in Japanese. This hand-blended whisky comes from three distilleries around Kyoto, on the island of Honshu. Fuzu Mizunara is a three-year old blend made up of 50% malt and 50% corn. This whisky is matured in American white oak casks, with a six-month finishing period in Mizunara barrels.

Nose: Dark honey malt, green apples, a slight chestnut nuttiness underneath.

Palate: Flavor continuing from the nose of the honey malt and apples, then a BIG woody spice hits the mid-palate that lingers.

Finish: A little smoke, caramel, and coconut shaving.
