An organic estate positioned at the southern edge of Tuscany’s Chianti Classico region, Tenuta Cappellina specializes in hand-harvested, terroir-driven red wines, utilizing a mix of diverse soil types like classic galestro limestone, clay, and sand.
The estate encompasses approximately 235 acres on warm, south-facing hillsides. Agriculture here centers entirely on natural viticulture, completely avoiding synthetic fertilizers and leveraging nitrogen-fixing cover crops like fava beans between the vineyard rows to sustain soil vitality. Under the guidance of prominent Italian winemaker Attilio Pagli, the cellar bridges modern technology with legacy traditions, orchestrating fermentations in large tanks before aging wines across a balance of wooden barriques, large casks, and stainless steel.
